UK tuning specialist Urban Truck has used a GM-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 donor engine in the Land Rover Defender to produce different stages of power which start at 430hp (316 kW) and go up to 500 HP (368 kW). The torque is also boosted to 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). The 4WD Defender sends all this power to the tarmac via a six-speed automatic transmission which uses an electronic gear selector module.
As well as the power upgrades, Urban Truck has provided the Landy with big dual stainless steel exhaust pipes, a re-designed front grille and 18-inch rims with Yokohama tyres. Some sport springs also provide a lowered stance (minus 2 inches) while there’s a Bilstein damper kit and anti-roll bar kit. Other cosmetic upgrades include carbon fibre bonnet vents, black paintwork, red brake callipers, privacy glass and a satin black steering guard.
The plusher interior boasts an Alpine satellite navigation system and Alpine subwoofer together with rear parking sensors. Nappa leather then adorns the heated Recaro Sportster CS seats, dashboard, Momo steering wheel and steering column. The front door handles now also use aluminium.
